How long will I be in school?

Utah State Board of Cosmetology requires 1600 hours. Depending on your dedication and schedule, your school can be accomplished in as soon as 11 months (full time) or 16 months (part time).

Do you offer any scholarships or financial aid?

Currently, $1000 scholarships are offered to students upon full tuition payment. They have limited availability based on qualifications and enrollment period.

What are your starting dates?

There are 6 start dates per year rotating every 8 weeks. Here are our current openings:

Do you accept transfer students?

YES, However we do not actively recruit from other schools. If you are interested in transferring from another cosmetology or beauty institution, you will need to have official transcripts from your former school- please contact us at 435-250-4078 for more details.

What does a cosmetologist do?

Cosmetologists do a variety of tasks in the beauty industry! Some specialize in hairstyling, nails, makeup, hair coloring, and more! You can find more information about cosmetologists here!

How much does it cost?

Our current rate is $15,200. This includes your professional student kit, books, online education, tuition, uniform, and registration fee. If you have any further questions, please contact us for details.

Are there payment plans?

YES! We have three different payment plans available. Please inquire in person. Each individual will have specific requirements and needs.

What schedules are available?

We offer several schedules to best fit your needs.We offer these classes based on availability.

Monday - Friday

Full Time: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Part Time AM: 8:30 am - 2:00 pm
Part Time PM: 3:00-8:30 pm
- Part time schedules leave 1 hour earlier on fridays

What are the enrollment requirements?

1. Completed Student Application (available online or in person)

2. High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent education with valid transcript*

3. $100 Registration Fee (non-refundable)

4. $2,500 deposit prior to the start of the enrolled class term.

*High school students must coordinate with Avanti Beauty Academy to enroll in an Accuplacer admittance test prior to enrollment

Is there an age limit?

In the state of Utah, there is no age limit, but you must have a high school diploma, GED, or pass the ATB Accuplacer test. If you are in high school, you must have a 2.5 GPA or higher to be accepted in addition to the ATB test.
