Mariona Farnsworth - Director & Owner

Driven entrepreneur and quality business owner Mariona Farnsworth founded Avanti Beauty Academy in January 2023 seeking to improve her community. She has over 30 years of experience in multiple areas within the beauty industry including:

Meet The Team

Laura Stratton - Instructor & Night Program Lead

With 5 years in the beauty industry, Laura serves as a Cosmetology Instructor, directing and leading the night program at Avanti Beauty Academy.

Formerly at Sport Clips, she pursued continued education in management, customer service, hair cutting, and styling, specializing in men’s services. Later, she attended advanced color and cut training in Italy with Alterego Italy in preparation to assist with opening and running the school.

At Avanti, Laura not only oversees the night program but also runs the cosmetology state board preparatory education and training. In addition, she successfully manages her own business servicing clients, bringing real-world experience and expertise to the students.

Gillian Mohlman - Office Coordinator

Gillian Mohlman is a dedicated cosmetologist that’s been licensed since 2009. Married and a mother of two, she excels in her craft by combining creativity with a genuine connection to her clients. Passionate about mental health advocacy, Gillian values the therapeutic aspects of her profession. In her free time, she enjoys singing and spending time with her family.

McKenna Jack - Instructor

McKenna Jack is a driven person with a passion for learning and teaching others. Growing up in the cosmetology world has helped her to find a love for the industry and helping others become their best selves. She loves her family fiercely and will do anything for those she loves. McKenna has over 16 years of experience with the beauty industry, including:

Daisy Medina - Instructor

Daisy is a devoted wife, mother of five, and small business owner. Inspired by her husband, children, and family, she pursued a childhood dream of working in cosmetology.

A graduate of Avanti Beauty Academy, Daisy loved the school so much that she accepted the position of Student Instructor and is now a licensed Cosmetology Instructor. Her passion drives her to work hard and continue her education, aiming to be her best for clients and students. She feels blessed to do what she loves and looks forward to growing in the field.

Felicity Farnsworth - Receptionist/Social Media

Felicity Farnsworth is the welcoming receptionist at Avanti Beauty Academy. With a passion for makeup and beauty, she ensures a smooth experience for students and visitors alike. Outside of work, Felicity enjoys cooking and exploring new recipes, bringing her creativity into the kitchen. Her friendly demeanor and organizational skills make her an invaluable part of the Avanti team.
